The Board is responsible for the running of the Global Negotiation Conference. 

Jack R. Williams, President

Jack R. Williams is Acting Dean of the College of International Studies at the American University of Kurdistan, Iraq where he was previously Assistant Professor of International Relations. He received his Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Zurich, during which time he was a Visiting Student Research Collaborator at Princeton University. Jack was previously a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of European and International Economic Law at the University of Bern as well as a Summer Academy and MILE Fellow at the World Trade Institute. Jack is the Founder and President of the GNC and is responsible for the overall organisation of the conference.

Maxime Schoch, Secretary

Maxime Schoch holds a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics in International Political Economy. During her Master's, Maxime focused on the role of private actors in international environmental politics and she wrote her thesis on the emergence of the EU Green Deal. She holds a Bachelor in Political Sciences and Economics from the University of Zurich, where she focused on European Integration. Maxime held a position as a Research Assistant at the Chair of Negotiation and Conflict Management at the ETH Zurich and has worked for SwissCore in Brussels in the domain of Swiss-EU research collaboration. Currently, she is working at Deloitte Switzerland within the domain of Financial Service Transformation. Maxime was a participant in the Global Negotiation Conference 2019. 

Roman Brunner, Treasurer

Roman Brunner is currently finishing his Master's degree at ETH Zurich in Computer Science. Aside from his primary studies he has broad interests in the areas of negotiations and mediations, law, economics, energy politics with a focus on renewables, sociology and governance, with a focus on the Internet and digital media. During his studies, Roman wrote articles about the governance of the Internet, analyzed the interdependence of the energy market and the world population growth and taking part in extracurricular activities such as ETH Model United Nations. Roman was a participant of 2019's edition of the Global Negotiation Conference.

Tobias W. Langenegger
GNC Co-President (2017-2019)

Tobias Langenegger was involved in the GNC since its conception, first as participant and served as Co-President at the time of his untimely death in 2019. Tobias was a lecturer and researcher at ETH Zurich. He held a BSc and MSc degree in Environmental Sciences from ETH Zurich and completed his PhD on the modelling of conflicts and negotiations at ETH Zurich. Beside research and teaching, Tobias was involved in negotiation consulting and the development of the Negotiation Engineering concept. Before joining the Chair of  Negotiation and Conflict Management he worked at the Professorship of Environmental Policy and Economics at ETH Zurich and at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in Geneva.
