Francis Cheneval

Francis Cheneval is the Head of the Department of Philosophy and Chair of Political Philosophy at the University of Zurich. During his career he has published on a range of subjects including democracy, justice, property rights, multilateral integration, and the history of political thought. Francis has been a lecturer and professor in Paris (cole pratique des hautes tudes), Bogotá (Universidad de los Andes), Brussels (Universit Libre de Bruxelles), as well as at several Swiss universities. In addition, he was a senior associate member of St. Antony's College, University of Oxford and a lecturer at the European Institute of the University of Geneva. From 2006 to 2008 he served as rapporteur on property rights to the Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor for the United Nations Development Program.
