Charlotte Zimmermann
IGN Fellow
Charlotte Zimmermann is currently in her third year of a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, specialising in International History at the University of Geneva. Passionate about Russian and Eastern European affairs, she is writing her Bachelor’s thesis analysing the geopolitical and economic repercussions of contemporary sanctions against Russia. In the spring semester of 2026, she will complete a semester at the University of Warsaw as part of the Erasmus exchange program.
She is particularly interested in how contemporary politics, global governance, and negotiation processes intersect with history, economics, and international diplomacy. She previously interned at the foundation "Stiftung Denkmal für die ermordeten Juden Europas in Berlin e.V.", which deepened her interest in questions of memory politics and international cooperation.
At the Institute for Global Negotiation, she first became a team member for the the Global Negotiation Conference 2025. Inspired by the constructive and warm spirit between speakers, participants, and the IGN team, she continued her engagement and now forms part of the team organising the IGN e-Conference 2026.
