Mila Grönros
Compliance Officer
Mila holds a Master’s degree in International and Comparative Law (MLaw) from the University of Zurich and a Bachelor’s degree in European Laws (LL.B) from Maastricht University. Mila is currently pursuing her Finnish Master of Law degree and lawyer qualification in Finland, and specializes in dispute resolution, specifically in international commercial arbitration.
After graduating, Mila has interned at a Zurich arbitration boutique law firm and currently works as a trainee for an independent arbitrator, and sits as a tribunal secretary in various arbitrations under different institutional rules. Despite her strong focus on commercial disputes, Mila is also interested in sports arbitration and the different forms of resolution that mediation and negotiation can offer. The IGN has shown her how interdisciplinary and manifold negotiation situations and international disputes can be. She finds it refreshing to burst out of the law bubble to connect with people with different backgrounds and to broaden one’s perspective.
Beyond her professional life, Mila is a passionate traveler and is always open to exploring new countries, cultures and cuisines. She also enjoys various sports, having a long background in martial arts.
Mila participated in the GNC in 2023 and has since then contributed to the 2024 edition as a Project Fellow and Welfare Officer, and been an IGN member.
