Tea Mustac

Head of Operations

Tea Mustać is currently serving as Head of Operations at the Institute for Global Negotiations, where she leverages her background in international law and business negotiations to advance the Institute's mission. Tea works as a data protection and AI governance consultant at Spirit Legal supporting companies in developing AI technologies and implementing effective compliance frameworks.

She regularly conducts workshops for institutions like Beck Akademie and speaks at international conferences, including the Web Summit. Tea co-hosts the podcast RegInt: Decoding AI Regulation and co-authored The AI Act Compact: Compliance, Management & Use Cases in Corporate Practice. Her work has earned her the European Young Lawyers Award (2022) and the My Data is Mine Award (2024). As a fellow of the European Law Institute and the Institute for Global Negotiations, she is a leading voice in law, technology, and global collaboration.

Having studied in Croatia and Austria and lived in Germany for the previous 3 years, Tea values the role of culture and language in negotiations. Her expertise in business and contract negotiations is central to her work. She participated in the Global Negotiations Conference in 2022 as well as moderated the 2024 keynote panel “Negotiating the Future: Global AI Governance between Innovation and Regulation.” Tea became a fellow of the Institute in 2024 and assumed the Head of Operations role in January 2025.
